Growing Together, Learning Together, Achieving Together

Hallam Fields Junior School

Headteacher: Mr David Brown.

'A very welcoming school!'

'My son's confidence has grown significantly and I believe this is because he is treated as an individual and his strengths are built on.'

'Children are encouraged to help, support and care for each other.'

'Big well done to all the staff at Hallam Fields for promoting great values and attitudes and remember we are British and celebrating this.'

'I have nothing but praise for the school, and in particular the staff.  I have met many of the teachers and all are full of enthusiasm for what they do, and have gone out of their way to ensure that my children's needs are catered for.'

'I hope the next 3 years will hold the same experiences for my little boy.'

PARENT QUESTIONNAIRE  - WHAT THE SCHOOL DOES WELL

Leaders provide effective support for the few pupils who need help to improve their behaviour.

Both parents and pupils comment on how approachable and accessible senior leaders and teachers are.

Teachers plan lessons which hold pupils' interest and capture their imagination.  As a result, pupils enjoy learning and make good progress.

Teachers use questioning effectively to deepen pupils' knowledge and understanding.

Leaders' work to promote pupils' reading has been highly successful.  Pupils enjoy reading for pleasure and to find information to help them with their work.
